JOIN OKLAHOMANS FOR PUBLIC EDUCATION AND THE OKLAHOMA RURAL SCHOOLS COALITION TO HELP STRUGGLING FAMILIES AND SCHOOL DISTRICTS WITH STUDENT LUNCH DEBT
More than ever before, Oklahoma’s families are struggling to make ends meet.
Many school districts in Oklahoma have a substantial amount of school lunch debt that struggling families are unable to pay. Thousands of Oklahoma’s children are currently carrying unpaid meal balances and school districts are expected to absorb this debt with no help from the state. This holiday season, we would like to help as many of those children and districts as possible. Please join us in supporting Oklahoma’s children in need of meal assistance.
After talking with several district administrators, we decided the best and most fair way to handle this project is to raise the money collectively and then distribute it amongst districts. There are many more district and school leaders who are working on getting us their totals to post so we will update this as we get them.
